Welcome to Faux-Creations!
Let us create a masterpiece for you!
From the riches of the Orient and the art and history of Europe to beautiful Lexington, in the heart of the Kentucky Bluegrass and Radford, Virginia, Martin Riding's name has been synonymous with quality workmanship in decorative painting. Since coming to the Bluegrass area from Europe in the Spring of 1994, Martin has sought to integrate the two distinct methods of Faux finishing found both in the United States and in Europe. Whether you seek the intricately reproduced marbles of the French school, which are difficult to tell apart from genuine stone marble, or you prefer the more imaginative Italian school of imitation marbles, Martin Riding can handcraft a finish that will satisfy even the most discerning client. Look at the Gallery for ideas or the Room Decorator for ideas for your home, office, business, place or room of Worship, and art gallery.
Martin has many years experience in Faux painting, which he began mastering in summer of 1986 while living in Europe. His interest in this decorative painting art form was first aroused when visiting friends who lived in beautiful turn of the century houses in Brussels, Belgium. Marbleized halls and stairways, patinas mellowed with age and trompe l'oeil finishes are still proudly displayed by people who love the unique character that these decorative finishes bring to their homes.
